Starting out

It is not that my wife can't cook.  She can and she is quite good at it.
It is just that even before we were married, I insisted on cooking more variety--so she said "go ahead, you cook then" or something or the sort.
We now have been married over 17 years, and I have done a lot of cooking.
My goal for this school year is to minimize the number of days that my kids eat plain cereal for breakfast or eat sandwiches on store bought bread for lunch.  Since I look to cook and I love to get up early, I have a good shot at making both of those a reality.
The boys (I have three) start school on Wednesday this week.  However, I thought I would start this today since we just got back from vacation.  While on vacation (where I didn't do any cooking--so sad), I had a request from my four year old to make crepes on the first day back.  He insists I promised him.  Perhaps I did.  In any case, you can see how much he loves cooking by looking at him help me grill bread (called naan) a few weeks ago.

Today's  overall food agenda:
Crepes with cinnamon and vanilla in the batter for breakfast
Baked homemade soft pretzels before I go to work
